A Very Rare Record

This came to me yesterday from my new pal,the estimable John Boorman, who donated it to my retirement home for rare vinyl.

First, it's lovely to see a Deram demo single - with that light blue label.

This Mike Westbrook single is super rare and is listed at £200 in Record Collector. I think you could add a bit to that for it being a promo record. This is unplayed and it's unusual to come across mint condition records from 45 years ago. There can only have been a few pressed of this.It came directly from Decca (Deram was the progressive offshoot of Decca) offices back in 1970.

As a very rare record, it's a beautiful thing to have in my collection.
