P.F.M. - Cook

P.F.M. where the biggest Italian prog rock band. Their name translates as Award-winning Marconi Bakery, which is a superb name for a group, I reckon. They were signed ot ELP's Manticore label and made some great albums, some with Italian lyrics others with English.

Cook is their live album and it's an absolute classic mid-70s prog outinig with lots of classically infused keyboards and some nice lead guitar. Recorded live in 1974 in America it made #154 on the Billboard chart and it's a great place to start with them. Later, on Chocolate Kings they went further towards a heavy rock sound - very successfully too - but Cook is them at their proggy best.
