Spirit - Clear

Spirit - Clear

Spirit's magnificent 1969 album Clear was a quintessential psychedelic rock album. Simultaneously powerful and yet melodic, it's best typified by the opening track Dark-Eyed Woman. Under 3 minutes long but wrapped in a thick, fuzzy riff and with just enough time for a nifty guitar solo from Randy California, there was simply no band like Spirit, before or since.

While their legendary classic 12 Dreams of Dr Sardonicus was to follow the next year, Clear remains a late 60s unheralded classic.

If you have the laminated version on organe CBS, you've got yourself a £30.00 album. I paid £10 for mine and consider it an absolute bargain.
