Deep Purple – Hush

581

Deep Purple – Hush b/w One More Rainy Day.
From the swell of the organ to the chunky riff, this was much more like later Purple than much of their first three MK1 albums. Still a bit poppy, but the Blackmore trademark Stratocaster riffola is all present and correct on their reworking of this Joe South song. It was a big hit in America, especially.

It came out on Parlophone and a nice clean copy is a £40 record but the motherlode is this promo copy which came in a fantastic card sleeve. Get a top notch copy and you’re looking at £350 nestling in your pocket.
