The band was formed in 1989 by former Turning Blue singer John Matthews, along with former Buzzcocks F.O.C. members Andy Couzens (guitar, also formerly of The Stone Roses and pre-Roses bands The Patrol and Waterfront), Simon Davies (bass), and drummer Chris Goodwin (also formerly of Inspiral Carpets), when Steve Diggle left Buzzcocks F.O.C. to reform the Buzzcocks. They were signed by London Records and had three minor UK Singles Chart hits in 1990 before breaking into the top 30 in 1991 with a revamped version of their debut single, the Martin Hannett-produced "Box Set Go".[1][3] The band's debut album, Somewhere Soon, peaked at number 59 in the UK Album Chart. With the Madchester scene losing favour with the critics, the band's later releases failed to chart, the band splitting up in 1993. John Matthews and Chris Goodwin went on to form the Manchester group 'One Summer' with local musicians Stephen Fitzpatrick (guitar) and Carl Wolstenholme (bass). One Summer worked with Factory Records group A Certain Ratio and recorded a demo for the label before it went into administration. The High have recently appeared on Jon Savages compilation, Perfect Motion - Jon Savage's Secret History Of Second-Wave Psychedelia 1988-93

Returns & Exchanges

Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Please use this form to instigate any return or exchange.

When returning an item it must arrive with us in it’s original condition and packaging. Obviously we allow you to try on your new shirt to ensure the size is right, but wearing it down the pub on a Friday night with the lads, getting it covered in Guinness and curry and then returning it for a different colour on Monday, well I’m afraid we just aren’t that generous!

If your item is in any way faulty then please contact us immediately and we will put it right. For clarity, faulty does not include beer and curry stains. If you would like to return your order for any other reason then please feel free to get in touch and we will do everything we can to ensure your request is dealt with quickly and efficiently.

When making a return, please place a copy of your invoice with the returned item and detail any information such as the reason for the return and any exchange requests such as size and colour. It is very difficult to track any returned items without the invoice as this contains all original order numbers and information.

All returns or exchanges should be sent to:

DJTEES Unit 24, Emerald Way, Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 0SR, UK

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If a refund is required it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, this normally takes around 3 days.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Return Shipping

If you are returning an item for exchange, such as size or colour then you will have to ensure that you cover the cost of the postage back to us. If, however, your item is faulty in any way then we are happy to cover the cost of the return. If you are shipping more than 3 items, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
