Rory Gallagher's band's first album came out in 1969 and it's a classic blues power trio. The follow-up On The Boards made #18 on the album charts but this didn't trouble the scorers. It's hard to quite credit how massively different it was. Blues rock didn't really exist in this form in April 1969. The album was produced by Tony Colton, a singer, songwriter and producer who was later the singer in the band Heads Hands and Feet

Blister On The Moon had been released as a single the previous year. I thought it had charted but it didn't and its also a slice of psychedelia.

It didn't chart consequently, it's quite a collectible record and a laminated sleeve copy is now valued at £40.00 in mint condition. All of Taste's output is worth the entry fee and this is where it all started
