The winter of 1966 was a cold place for Jimi to make his debut appearance on UK TV. But on 13th December 1966, he turned up on the super groovy Ready Steady Go on ITV.

Everyone who was anyone played the show, which was coming to the end of its run to be replaced by shows with less kids doing the twist whilst dressed in suits. Also on this show was a not yet famous Marc Bolan and Victor Sylvester - a dance band orchestra. Yeah, rock n roll, baby.

Also on this day the Experience went into the studio to record Foxy Lady, a track which was wrongly spelt with an 'e' in American releases.

The band played Hey Joe, their debut single which was soon to chart. It was the start of 3 years and 8 months of musical revolution.
