On Sunday, January 21, 1973 when this gig took place Black Oak were touring the 'Raunch N Roll' live album released in December 1972. Grin were preparing to release 'All Out' in February 1973, their third studio album for Nils Lofgren's band. Nils' brother Tom was brought in to play second guitar.
