The concert took place in Tillman Auditorium (also referred to as Tillman Hall) and was a major success for the campus at the time. It was a sell-out crowd of 1,500 people. Tickets were just $3.00.
At the time of this performance, he had just released his landmark album Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes (January 1977), which featured his breakthrough hit "Margaritaville."
