Cold Blood was an American R&B horn funk band founded in 1968, and was originally based in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. The band has also performed and recorded under the name Lydia Pense and Cold Blood, due to the popularity of their lead singer, Lydia Pense.
The band was formed by Larry Field, a guitarist and songwriter who had previously played in the bands The Charlatans and The Loading Zone. Field recruited Lydia Pense, a singer who had been working as a waitress, to front the band. The rest of the original lineup included Danny Hull (tenor saxophone and songwriter), Larry Jonutz (trumpet), Pat O'Hara (trombone), Raul Matute (Hammond organ, piano, arranger and songwriter), Jerry Jonutz (baritone, alto and tenor saxophone), David Padron (trumpet), Rod Ellicott (bass), and Frank Davis, who was replaced on drums by Sandy McKee during the Sisyphus sessions.
Cold Blood quickly became one of the most popular bands in the Bay Area, and they were signed to Bill Graham's Fillmore Records in 1969. Their debut album, Cold Blood, was released in the same year and featured the singles "I Just Want to Make Love to You" and "Green Onions". The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish Cold Blood as one of the leading bands of the Bay Area funk scene.
The band continued to release albums and tour throughout the 1970s. They released their most successful album, Sisyphus, in 1971. The album featured the singles "Free Ride" and "Sisyphus". Cold Blood also toured with Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin in the early 1970s.
The band broke up in the late 1970s, but they reunited in the 1980s and have continued to tour and record ever since. They have released several albums since their reunion, including Cold Blood '88, Cold Blood '92, and Cold Blood 2000.
Cold Blood is a respected band in the world of funk and soul music. They have been praised for their energetic live shows and their tight musicianship. The band has also been credited with helping to popularize the funk genre in the late 1960s and early 1970s

Returns & Exchanges
This isn't a problem. If you need to change size or colour or design, or just fancy a refund, its all cool. I can sort all of this out for you.
When returning an item it must arrive with us in it’s original condition. Wearing it down the pub on a Friday night out, getting it covered in Guinness and setting light to it via a badly rolled reefer, then returning it on Monday, is understandable, but not allowed by the karma pixies who govern our lives. And we don't want to upset the karma pixies now, do we?
If your item is in any way faulty then please contact me immediately, send a photo of the issue and I will get a replacement organised. You won't have to send it back to us. For clarity, the concept of faulty does not include stains from a lamb dhansak you have spilled down yourself after consuming 8 pints of lager.
Before making a return, please email me email@example.com with your order number, and what you want to happen - a refund, or a different size/colour/design. I can then make it happen because I am all powerful, can change my clothes in a phone box and can fire spider webs from places I didn't know I even had. Possibly.
You will always be dealing with me, Johnny, because DJTees is so small and niche that I do all admin. Don't worry, I don't bite, or at least not unless you are a sausage. I do bite sausages.
If you'd love a t-shirt but are totally skint, drop me a line and I'll see what I can do.
We print everything to order and don't hold any stock of anything. That would be mad. Almost all orders are printed within 2 or 3 working days (this doesn't include weekends and public holidays), occasionally as long as 4 days if we have run out of a size or colour t-shirt and stock is delayed in arriving.
EU CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: From 1st July 2021, EU-based customers might have to pay local rate VAT on their order before delivery.
Please do not order unless you are prepared to pay the VAT
