The Heartbreakers had been trying to get a record contract in the United States since their formation in 1975. In the fall of 1976, Malcolm McLaren, who had informally managed the New York Dolls in their waning days, invited the band to come to England and participate in the Sex Pistols' Anarchy tour, along with The Clash and The Damned, who were replaced by Buzzcocks shortly after the tour commenced. The band accepted the offer, arriving in London on December 1, the same day that the Pistols swore at Bill Grundy on live, prime-time television, which precipitated the cancellation of most of the tour. Stranded in England with little money after the Anarchy tour came to a halt, the band contemplated a retreat to New York, but their manager, Leee Black Childers, convinced them to stay in England, believing that they would be more successful there. After several gigs in London, Track Records offered the Heartbreakers a recording contract. Track asked the band to sign to the company as "The Chris Stamp Band Ltd." a holding company owned by Track, with the proviso that if that holding company went out of business, the rights to any recordings the band made would revert to the band's own business partnership. The band agreed and signed on to Track.

Returns & Exchanges
Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Please use this form to instigate any return or exchange.
When returning an item it must arrive with us in it’s original condition and packaging. Obviously we allow you to try on your new shirt to ensure the size is right, but wearing it down the pub on a Friday night with the lads, getting it covered in Guinness and curry and then returning it for a different colour on Monday, well I’m afraid we just aren’t that generous!
If your item is in any way faulty then please contact us immediately and we will put it right. For clarity, faulty does not include beer and curry stains. If you would like to return your order for any other reason then please feel free to get in touch and we will do everything we can to ensure your request is dealt with quickly and efficiently.
When making a return, please place a copy of your invoice with the returned item and detail any information such as the reason for the return and any exchange requests such as size and colour. It is very difficult to track any returned items without the invoice as this contains all original order numbers and information.
All returns or exchanges should be sent to:
Unit 4, Premier Park
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If a refund is required it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, this normally takes around 3 days.
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
If you are returning an item for exchange, such as size or colour then you will have to ensure that you cover the cost of the postage back to us. If, however, your item is faulty in any way then we are happy to cover the cost of the return. If you are shipping more than 3 items, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
