At the time it revolutionised the industry of football games, some might say, it has never been bettered. At the time Amiga Format magazine (remember how many computer and gaming magazines there used to be?) said "Best footy game to have appeared on any machine" 94%.
In the intervening decades, things have got a lot more sophisticated and achieved a depth unthinkable in 1990...but did they get more exciting?
