Aerosmith were on the ‘Toys In The Attic’ tour when they hit South Bend, Indiana with Kansas and Ted Nugent who was about to cut loose the Amboy Dukes. Quite the triple bill for $6.00. Aerosmith played 107 shows in the USA and one in Canada on that haul.
It would be 1976 before they played in the UK on the ‘Rocks’ tour and remarkably it was 1987 and ‘Permanent Vacation’ before they had a charting album in the UK by which time they’d had eight in America and had shifted over 20 million records.
